DREAMWEAVER is at it again!
Years ago I had a dream about two great grandmother spiders pricking my middle finger on my right
hand. The dream was kind of frightening. Yet the two great grandmother spiders laughed and laughed. Little did
I know that I was being prepared to become a DreamWeaver.
A couple of years later at a Woman's Vision Quest I was taught how to weave a dreamcatcher.
I was taught to leave the hole in the middle open so the good dreams go through. The web is to catch the bad dreams
and at dawn ...they are disspelled. I believe this is from the Cherokee tradition.
My DreamCatchers are more on the order of "Flower Child", they are multicolored cotton threads woven
onto a grapevine and trimmed in turkey feathers and beads. The turkey feathers act as the spirit of the dreamcatcher
and gives it life. The beads mark the beginnings and endings of life, or births and rebirths that we are all connected.
The Cherokee believe that the turkey is like the eagle, and is a great gift to all of us.
There seems to be a loud noise being made about the upcoming year of 2012. I wanted to help
in some way. The teenagers are feeling concerned. I feel by weaving dreamcatchers I can help keep
the fears or bad dreams about 2012 away, especially for those who have my dreamcatchers. But you don't have to have one,
I just have to make each one hoping that each one will help bring a better dream to all of my relations for seven generations.
Peace and Love YOU.
DREAM A GOOD DREAM FOR YOURSELF, YOUR FAMILY, YOUR WORLD.
