WE RECYCLE! Go Green!
GREEN COOKING
TRIPP, my grandson wanted me to record all my recipes in a cookbook, so when I was no longer around
to cook for him he would have my recipes.
I began Loving Foods Cookbook in 2003. It is on going. Tom my husband loves to cook too.
He watches the food channel and gleans skills and techniques and resources new recipes. Tom has traveled the world several
times so his taste buds have lots of range. Tripp is happy with pizza these days, he is only 13. When I am ready
for a break from the kitchen which is generally one night a week, I ask Tom to prepare a meal for us. His cooking is
much better that any resturant available to us here in Gainesville. Plus the love and adoration he transfers into his
food is sublime.
Tripp,Tom and I will share some of our favorites with you.
Remember we are always thinking about several qualities in preparing our foods.
* Purity ? Is this food organic?
* Is this food whole or processed ?
* How much animal fat does it have? Trans fat? Cholestrol?
* Does this have corn syrup in it? processed white sugar? white flour?
We want to eat clean organic pure foods, without nitrates, hormones, antibiotics. WE READ LABELS.
We have discovered that highly processed foods contain very harmful ingredients; just rows of strange ingredients that
sometimes we can not even pronounce. LESS IS BEST. Next time you are shopping, just compare potatoe chips. Read the
labels. Remember the rule: LESS IS BEST.
We have bottled spring water dropped off in recyclable containers.
There is always orange juice, apple juice, cranberry juice and lemons for drinking. These juices
are free of corn syrup, white sugar and artificial sweetners and flavors. These juices are all natural, organic
and are sweetened if need be with White Grape juice, but they are processed.
Soy Silk for coffee(freshly ground organic beans) and Organic Half and Half. Soy Milk and Buttermilk.
None of us enjoy a glass of whole cows milk and only some of us will eat an organic chicken egg.
I love nothing better than shopping for pure whole foods. I love the Whole Foods Market, but
I have to travel an hour one way to go there.
With gas prices the way they are I am challenged to gather from my local food stores. More
and more organic is available, but I don't always trust these new brands. I like supporting the mom and pop organic
farmers because I know they are pure and true.
We enjoy organic whole grain jasmin and basmati rice, and organic short grain
brown rice.(it's chewy) We use different herbs to season these according to the proteins we are using.
We do use organic dairy products sparingly, including European Butter, not salted.
We use sea salt and freshly cracked peppercorns, cayenne and organic soy sauce, called Tamari.
Our kitchen always has fresh organic whole garlic, onions, parsely, rosemary, cilantro.
We love salads of organic romaine lettuce hearts, organic baby spinach and herb leaves, cherry
tomatoes, green onions, carrot slivers and English cucumbers. These whole foods are in our refrigerator.
At the built in stove top you will find a bottle of organic extra virgin olive oil. We
only deep fry with peanut oil and that's maybe once a month.
We have to have Angel Hair pasta and canned organic diced tomatoes in the pantry, basil in the herb
cabinet.
We do believe "everything in moderation".
ARCHANGEL RAPHAEL is the Angel of Healing. His color is emerald green and he uses
this ray to focus in on what needs healing. He is always encouraging us to EAT MORE GREENS for healthier blood.
Healthier blood builds healthier bodies and immune systems. He is also very keen on drinking plenty of clean pure water
everyday.
The WHOLE IDEA is this: We want to stay healthy and active and live a long happy life.
Eating Pure Foods can help us maintain an active loving life. If we are sick or in disease some how then we want to
begin changing what we eat as fast as we are able to make the changes. That's why I love to cook good healing pure
foods. Over the years I've learned that foods and their additives effect every level of our life. Our minds, hearts,
organ systems, bones, muscles and emotions. The closer to WHOLE pure foods we can eat, the better.
THINK WHOLE. WHOLE BODIES, WHOLE SPIRITS.
